2022 Petite Rouge

Introducing our latest release, 2022 Petite Rouge. This red wine is a blend of 89% Petite Pearl and 11% Isabella. Petite Pearl is a French-American hybrid developed by viticulturist Tom Plocher in Hugo, Minnesota in 1996. Matt Hanlon and Serena Michels planted these vines in 2019 on their family-run White Pine Vineyard. Isabella is a much older French-American hybrid that was likely the result of a random, natural cross-pollination when French varietals were brought to the United states in the late 18th or early 19th century.

2022 Rosé

This dry, ruby-colored rosé is produced from 100% Cabernet Franc. The grapes receive 48 hours of skin contact time, a longer amount of time than other rosé styles. The result is a bolder wine with bigger tannin structure like the Tavel style rosés of Southern France.

2021 Chardonnay

Our newest white wine release features Chardonnay grapes sourced from over 30 year-old vines in Eric Frarey's Macri Vineyard on Canandaigua Lake. Winemaker Conor Gallagher and his assistant Curtis Reid carefully tended the vineyard under Eric's tutelage. The hand-picked grapes fermented directly in barrel on 2/3 American Oak and 1/3 French Oak. After fermentation, the wine remained in contact with the yeast lees and the barrels were hand stirred weekly for several months to release the full flavors of the yeast, a process known as sur lie et bâtonnage.

2013 Blanc de Noirs

Blanc de Noirs means “white from black” a reference to the fact that this wine is produced from dark or red grapes: 73% Cabernet Franc and 27% Pinot Noir. This sparkling wine was produced in the méthode champenoise. This means it was made the same way Champagnes in France are made.

2020 Dry & Semi-Dry Riesling

These Riesling grapes were carefully hand-tended to ensure optimal quality by Donald Caldwell and his team at the Cornell Teaching Vineyard. Hand-harvested from October 14-15, 2020, they were destemmed and gently bladder pressed. After a twenty-four hour cold soak, the grapes underwent a slow, cool fermentation in stainless steel for one month before racking.

Song Hill Winery is a small, family-run winery in Victor, NY. We utilize high quality, hand-picked grapes from the Finger Lakes and Lake Ontario viticulture areas to produce ultra-premium sparkling and still wine primarily from Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Our mission is to show the full range of high quality wines that can be produced by the varietals that thrive in our area, and to deliver them to you at the most affordable prices that our hands on, dedicated process allows.
